There are all sorts of cameras that can be used in the improvement of security around the house. They come in all shapes and sizes. Wireless home security cameras are probably the best ones to come out in the security industry because they can be hidden in any space that they can fit into. They can still work too as long as the space does not interfere with or block the signal the wireless home security cameras transmit to the computer or console they are connected to.

Fool Them

Since wireless home security cameras can be set up just about anywhere and made to look like anything, pick objects that you think people will not figure for a camera. For example, you may want to disguise your wireless home security cameras inside stuffed toys and place them around the house. Burglars will not want to take things that are of no value and stuffed toys look harmless so they will not think for a minute that the eyes of a stuffed toy were actually replaced with wireless home security cameras. You can also attach these wireless home security cameras to objects like lamps or on bookshelves; anything that conceals them from the naked eye. The more creative you are in hiding the wireless home security cameras, the more careless burglars will be because they will continue rummaging through your home not thinking that they are being recorded at all.

Dummy Cams

You can also fool people into thinking that you are using more wireless home security cameras than you have installed. For example, you might have one or two wireless home security cameras monitoring your home. But you can also install dummy cameras. These cameras look exactly like cameras and you can set them up all around the house. People will think twice when seeing these cameras pointed in their direction. All the while, the real cameras are actually installed in places where these dummy cameras are not. These real cameras will be recording the areas that really need protecting from intruders. This is a great way to maintain obedience within your house so that nothing goes missing and people will feel that they are watched and so they will behave. Dummy cameras can also be set up outside the house in the yard or backyard to ward off burglars who will see them and think that they cannot break into your home.

Wireless home security cameras are improving each day. A new feature is added with each release of the newer technology. Today’s wireless home security cameras are so efficient that they can even record in the dark and in full color. This is a feature called night vision. Originally night vision could only record images that would come out greenish in color. With that said, imagine just how advanced wireless home security cameras will be in the future as they get smaller and more configurable so that you can use them in any way that you want.

A wireless home security camera is a must-have for every home regardless of how luxurious or average your home is. It's not a sign that there are very valuable things inside the house. But to all people, the most valuable thing should be the security of their loved ones. A wireless home security camera can come in all shapes and sizes. They can be installed just about anywhere; better yet, they can be disguised just like any thing.

Your Ceiling

The most typical area to place a wireless home security camera (or any camera for that matter) is on the ceiling or in the corner of one. This is because the wireless home security camera can capture a wider scope of the area that it is directed. This is especially true of cameras that are set up with the lenses set at an angular position.

A neat trick to fool people into thinking that there are no cameras is to install a wireless home security camera that looks like a smoke alarm. Of course, there should be a real smoke alarm in the room as well so that you don't end up creating a hazard rather than a secure area. Another trick is to have a dummy camera out in the open and to conceal the real wireless home security camera within the ceiling itself if possible.

Around The House

A wireless home security camera can be disguised as anything and this means it can be installed anywhere. Some people have installed them in flower arrangements to conceal them, on desk lamps, and even sewn them into stuffed toys that just lie around the room. If the object is big enough for the wireless home security camera, then that object can instantly be used as a home security peripheral. Of course, the transmitter of the wireless home security camera should not be covered or else the console that receives all the recorded data may not be able to pick up on its signal.

The Issue

Choosing to conceal these wireless cameras from people will probably open up a variety of issues. Of course, this brings about questions on invasion of privacy, so at least have people be aware that there are cameras around the house but you do not have to reveal their locations.

Another thing you can do is to avoid installing cameras in places of private personal activities such as the bedroom, toilet and bath. Typical installations are found in hallways or facing doorways that give entrance to homes and some wireless home security cameras can also be found outside facing the lawn or backyard. Be sensitive about other peoples sensitivities and you may not have to be answering to arguments on invasion of privacy or other issues.

Security cameras not only protect your home but also protect the interests of your family and your loved ones. Also, when you are away from home and your house gets burgled, you can always play back what was recorded and increase your chances at capturing the culprits responsible. Haven't got a wireless home security camera in your house yet? Perhaps now is the time to reconsider.

Guard your loved-ones and your home. Choose the right wireless home security system and the wireless home security camera for your needs.

Question by Scott: is it possible for a wireless home security system to cause interference with other remote controls?
recently had a security system put on my home which uses wireless sensors. in less than a week, my remote controls for my digital cable box and tv are not working as they should. I have to be about a foot or so away from the cable box for it to work and when it does it only works for a few seconds. Replaced cable box remote with a new one and still the same thing. any help would be greatly appreciated on what to do or who to call.

no
cable and TVs user Infra-red remotes, that require Line-of-Site. Security systems use a wireless RF technology, so its completely unrelated. Possibly your security system could mess with your cordless phones, or wireless internet/networking, but your TV/cable can't be related.

what you are describing sounds like what can happen when the battery is low on the remote, or the sensors are partially covered... check and make sure you have new good name-brand batteries (duracell, energizer), and maby use a little windex on a paper towel on the front of the remotes, they usually have a extremely-dark red surface, that the transmitter hides behind, and clean it well... then find those surfaces on your TV & cable box and make sure there isn't anything in the way of them, and clean those with the towel/windex

Portable Home Security Alarms are home security options for those living in apartments and may not have the permission of the landlord to begin drilling holes into the walls in order to install banks of security cameras.  Portable alarms come in handy for travelers, particularly those who travel alone, because these systems are fairly easy for someone to set up in their hotel room.  Even homeowners may think about purchasing these units if they don’t want to put up with installing a more comprehensive system or if there is not a good place for mounting a motion-detector.

About Portable Alarms

According to a recent publication about home security systems, portable burglar alarms are designed to be relatively small, self-contained units that are battery-powered.  An alarm and a motion sensor are both included in portable home security alarms.  You can get a style that sits on a flat area such as a desk or shelf.  Alarms are also available that hang on the doorknob.  These are a few of its other features:

• Quick, simple setup anyplace you need it
• Will expand up to your choice of 16 sensors
• Totally wireless deployment
• For full support, a monitoring fee each month is required

There are a couple of portable home security alarms that I would like to mention.  The first is known as the Tattletale portable alarm system.  It can be used anywhere to protect whatever you need protected.  The Tattletale is comprised of a base station acting as a mobile command center that communicates with a number of sensors that can be placed up to 2000 feet from its base.

When you purchase Tattletale, you get an alarm system that is complete in this one unit that is quite compact.  Due to the fact that the features of the alarm are all integrated in this single unit, installation is not needed and you do not have to worry about scheduling any appointments.  All you have to do is plug your Tattletale into an outlet and you are ready to go!

Another one of the Portable Home Security Alarms are called LaserShield.  With this system, you are able to prevent unauthorized access or burglaries to private areas or rooms in your home.  It is an easy to use, wireless, low-cost, innovative security system.  With LaserShield, you do not have to worry about any messy or complicated installations.
The LaserShield is amazingly easy!  It takes just three easy steps to set up:
•    Plug the unit into a convenient AC outlet
•    Turn the power on
•    You only have to touch a button, and after that, you are supposed to establish a link from the key chain remote to the infrared wireless detection unit

You will find that the LaserShield Starter Kit is just right for apartments, rental homes, college dormitories, townhouses, offices, retail stores, hotels or just about anywhere you wish to install your portable alarm system and not have to deal with the trouble of drilling or of following any other kind of complex installation instructions.  This installation job is so simple that you can do it yourself!

Now that you have learned about portable home security alarms, now is your chance to pick one up and experience great protection.

The most basic reason to invest in an Orlando wireless home security system is because the crime rate in Orlando, Florida has been steadily climbing in the last three years. Not only is the Orlando crime rate expected to increase further in the near future, but so is the crime rate for the entire state of Florida as well. That's terrible news for Orlando residents who do not have the option of moving to safer cities and safer states. But the good news is you can minimize the risks you must face as an Orlando homeowner by investing in an Orlando wireless home security system.

What are the components you should look for in an ideal Orlando wireless home security system?

First, you should check whether it really is a wireless home security system – meaning, there are no cords or wires that connect one part of the system to another.

Second, your Orlando wireless home security system provider ought to be able to provide you with both Door Sensors and Window Sensors. The system provider should be able to supply as many Door Sensors and Window Sensors as you would possibly need for your home. Then, the system provider should supply you also with window decals to warn potential intruders and burglars that your home is protected by an Orlando wireless home security system.

A very loud alarm should be installed somewhere within your home so that if the Orlando wireless home security system is breached, the whole neighborhood will know about it instantly. You should have the capability to easily set off this alarm when needed, such as when an intruder waits for you outside your home and then surprises you.

In addition, you should have a remote control that will permit you (being the homeowner) to turn on or turn off the entire Orlando wireless home security system when you like.

It would be helpful if the service provider had motion sensors as well to conduct sweeps of your home interiors to check for the presence of intruders regularly. But these motion sensors should have a Home mode function so that your Orlando wireless home security system does not start screaming because you were wandering around the house in the middle of the night.

Another feature you should look for is for the security system provider to have a policy of trying to reach you first before assuming that a triggered alarm is automatically a break-in. You might be the intruder because you forgot your remote control or your house keys, after all.

To make your Orlando wireless home security system even more beneficial, you should have adequate lighting installed outside your house (connected to your security system) so that you can see anything and everything outside your home. This greatly minimizes the risk that a burglar, or other type of intruder will have the element of surprise on his side when he plans to commit a crime against you.

One last feature that would make your Orlando wireless home security system very ideal is if it has an independent power source separate from the systems of the rest of the house. This allows your security system to stay up and running even when a wily intruder cuts off your main power line.
